Crossing the island by boat

Access to the island is exclusively by boat from Marseille's Old Port. Please check traffic conditions before departure, as crossings may be cancelled in the event of bad weather (wind, swell). 

Admission to the Château

Admission to the Château is free for under-18s and EU citizens or legal residents aged 18 to 25 (upon presentation of proof). Free admission also applies to Education Pass holders and on the first Sunday of each month from November to March. 

Useful information

The Château d'If is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. The disembarkation area, uneven floors and numerous staircases make it impossible to visit in a wheelchair.
